I've been wanting to know which is the best way to set this up.
The RocketTheme people I spoke to seem to be leaning towards 2 databases being the way to go, (I've done it this way before - but not with the bridge installed)but p8pbb bridge people said that you get better performance using 1 database. So I've been sitting around for a week or so on this question wondering which is best.
I'm fairly sure that both ways will work without issue, but I want to make sure I learn how to do things the preferred or best way, rather than just any way.
Maybe Im just being too fussy and should just go ahead and pick one and get on with it?
What do the experts think regarding this?

Hi Scott,

What's the ultimate goal you're trying to achieve? What features do you need in a forum? Why p8pbb?

Also, what Joomla version are you using?

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,
Thanks for your reply.
I've decided to use 2 databases like I did last time so it doesnt matter now.
Why do I need p8pbb? to syncronise logins, avatars etc. between Joomla and phpbb in J25. I'm not sure JFusion is as good, and Rokbridge isn't ready for J25 I dont think.

Hi Scott

We used on a Joomla 1.5 site to run the predecessor to OSTraining.com. I can't guarantee how good the 2.5 version is, but the 1.5 version was very solid.
Ask. We'll help. It's as simple as that.
