TOPIC: Joomla 2.5 Template Module Positions

Joomla 2.5 Template Module Positions 1 year 1 month ago #45513

Hello there,

I use Artisteer to design my templates and there are some positions that I did not design that appear on my site that I can't figure out how to get rid of or at the very least make inactive.

Basically, the body of a page looks like this:

Top Menus
Header

Left Position Module Article Right Position Modules

Article

Article

Article Article Article

I don't have an issue with the modules on the right or left, just on the three modules at the bottom. I tried going into edit the template on the back end but with no success. I just want the main articles for each page to continue on like the first three as shown in my example above.

Like This:

Left Position Module Article Right Position Module
Article
Article
Article
(an so on)

I tried looking for a topic that would help answer this, but found none, perhaps my search criteria wasn't the best to weed out what I need to know. Anyway, I hope I'm clear here and that you are able to point me in the right direction.

Thank you!

Hello FreeFormVentures,

Please provide a screenshot of your module positions of your template, circle the positions you want to remove, and provide your index.php code.

I will be happy to let you know what parts of the php code to edit.

Also you'd have to edit your templatesDetail.xml document as well.

Warm Regards,

Tessa Mero

Hi FreeFormVentures,

Sounds like your menu item is setup as a category blog. Go to your admin area >> Menus (top menu) >> your menu >> select your menu item >> edit >> "Blog Layout Options" (right side) >> change the column # to 1.

Kind regards,
Nick
