Today, I use the Windows Media Encode to transmit on live from my church.
My church's site is old and it creates an ASF File that plays on Windows Media Player, but doesn't play on Iphone, Ipad, etc
Now I want to use Joomla, with Linux on my Host.
Is there a good extension to play Streaming on almost all computers, phones, etc?
And how about a mp3 player for the musics?
Tks

Hello cayazigi,

One of the best all around players for both video and audio is AllVideos
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/multime...layers-a-gallery/812

But there are quite a few available. For your specific requirements it might be a good idea to search the JED and download some and experiment on a test site to see if they work they way you want.

extensions.joomla.org/search?q=multimedia

Try some other keyword searches as well. You will find hundreds of options.

Cheers,
Ed

Thanks Ed. I will try AllVideos for our sound library.
I am still looking for a player on demand for video broadcast. It is for the people that want to see on live.
Carlos.

Hi Carlos,

I'd really recommend using www.ustream.tv/ and embedding it into your Joomla site. Could you check it out and see if that will work well for you?

You can also check out the Video Streaming category on the JED:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/multime...g/video-broadcasting

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Carlos,

No, not by default. You can by modifying the code, but there aren't built-in options for it. One work-around is to use soundcloud.com/ with allvideos, which will display title, length, etc.

Kind regards,
Nick
