All of a sudden, we are getting tons of span from our VirtuMart section of our website. We are using reCapcha, but it seems someone has broken the code and the spammer is able to get through the reCapcha gateway to our email. We are getting 40+ 'quick loan' responses regarding one unique vehicle on our site. Any ideas on what to do?

There are a couple of things you can do.
First take our security course

You can also look for extensions that do anti-spam or provide a firewall.
RS Firewall www.rsjoomla.com/joomla-extensions/joomla-security.html

Look for extensions that add Mollom or Akismet to your site.
extensions.joomla.org/search?q=Akismet
extensions.joomla.org/search?q=mollom

And or use a service that sets up a proxy server and gives you the ability to block attacks like this one.

One or more of these will end that problem.
