Hi,

My template doesn't appear properly in Explorer, but not all the time. It's just funny. It appears correctly in mozilla, chrome, and newer versions of explorer(most of the time).

I did the code check online and it shows errors which doesn't even make sense. like > at the end of link tag or main body tag.

any ideas.

thanks,
Shirin

Hi Shirin,

Internet Explorer does act differently than other browsers and it's always a challenge to write code that works everywhere.

Can we get a link to your site so we can see what's happening?

Cheers,
Ed

Hi Shirin,

It looks great to me in IE9. What IE version are you using? Also, could upload a screenshot of the issue?

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Shirin,

I skimmed through your source code of your site to see anything that pops out at me.

It seems like you have defined a couple CSS documents in the middle of your code inside a div.

You should remove that and put it in your header. Maybe that will help.

<link rel="stylesheet" href="/modules/mod_slideshow3/slideshow/slideshow.css" type="text/css" />

and

<link href="/modules/mod_microblog/css/microblog.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" />

And you have a few javascript scripts that would probably work better in your header, but we'll see how changing these will work first.

Let me know if this helps.
Warm Regards,

Tessa Mero

Hi Shirin,

By the way, I just tested in IE7 and 8 and it worked well for me in there as well.

Kind regards,
Nick

thanks, it started acting fine after a while. one computer had IE 6 and that one still looks funny, but other then that it looks ok.

I dont like the host, I think I have made a mistake. I am going to move the site from there.

Thanks,
Shirin

Hi Shirin,

If you are looking for a new hosting server, check out www.cloudaccess.net. I've had nothing but success with them. It's such a great and reliable server. :-)

Hi Shirin,

You can see our list of recommended hosts on the following page:

CloudAccess.net will hopefully soon be officially added to the list as well :)
