on my website chicagohighlands.com, I currently have a member login that takes members to the member section but then they have to login again to access a member accounts section that is powered by a third party software provider on different server - completely different platform - different design, etc. How do you suggest I integrate these two sections of the website so that members are only required to login once?

Hi Quincy,

What are you using for the Members Account section?

Kind regards,

Hi Quincy,

Which one of their products are you using? Looks like they have a lot of them:
www.crescentsystems.com/Products/CMSPrimer.aspx

Either way, in the conference call you'd have to ask them what API they are using and if their API allows Single Logins.

Kind regards,
Nick

They are using .net to connect to sequel server. It does allow pass through authentication.

Hi Quincy

Almost certainly you'll need to write something custom to make this happen unless it supports a common standard such as LDAP. Can you ask if they have an LDAP option?
Ask. We'll help. It's as simple as that.

Here was the reply - I need some education on this stuff:

No, we currently offer pass-through authentication via url strings built from specific values that are retrieved from Crescent’s SQL Server database.

I was thinking… you are already asking for their email address when they log in. You’re halfway there. All you need is to get their password from sql server. URL endcode the email and password and we are done.

Hi Quincy,

OK, in that case, your best bet is to hire a developer to get it done for you, since you'll need a custom solution. It shouldn't be too much work for them. Here's a direct link to our Recommended Developer's page:
