TOPIC: Inserting a Search Engine

Inserting a Search Engine 10 months 1 day ago #51848

HI folks! To start with, I'm really enjoying the OStraining videos. They are a wonderful, wonderful, WONDERFUL support to someone who is not enambered with spending hours fumbling over webdesign like a blindfolded surgeon! "Hey look guys, whatever I did, it works!" Such has been my story with NVU!

O.K. now the Question, how do I add a search engine? I've not had the time to watch all the videos yet, but that's the spot I'm interested in going straight to. I've seen some search engines in menus, in the header, in the content...please direct me to the source!

Next order of business - Would you PLEASE develop a course on GIMP? I do a lot of graphic work and I do not feel I've yet mastered GIMP 2.6 or 2.8. I have a book, but to see it and hear it with OSTraining would be my first choice. Vicki Watson would be a great instructor for that, too, by the way. :) I understand she's mastered the program.

Hi and welcome, Rebekah!

Thanks for the feedback about our training. We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the class and finding it very useful! :)

1) Go to your admin area >> extensions >> module manager >> new >> search >> then you can publish it to whichever module position you'd like.

2) You've peaked our interest :) We'll discuss it at our next business meeting :)

Kind regards,
Nick
