Fata Error: require_once(/home/www/debtfreedivas.org/jupgrade/libraries/joomla/methods.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/debtfreedivas.org/administrator/components/com_jupgrade/includes/install_config.php on line 24

I was following the post to manually upload the joomla16.zip and skill the upload and decompress steps for jupload.the files are are in /jupgrade

Hi and welcome, debtfreedvias!

Please give the following tutorial a try on your 1.5 site to fix your folder and file permissions:
www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/admin-too...nd-file-permissions/

Once you've done that, give it another try. If it still doesn't work, may sure you have unzipped your Joomla 2.5 file (don't use 1.6; it's extremely outdated) within your jupgrade folder.

Alright, I have the joomla 2.5.4 files in a /jupgrade folder in the root. I've run that fix permissions tool using the Admin Tool you suggested and I still have the same problem.

I've attached a screen shot of the error message. Let me know if you need to see more.

Okay. I had the jupgrade in the wrong location. I moved into my website's root folder. Now that worked. I'll continue with the instructions. Thanks for now.
