Hi there

Have just uploaded 6 png images to 6 different custom modules.
On initial saving, the 6 images appeared in 6 modules as expected.
Then after a while, doing this and that, I noticed that 3 of the 6 images had disappeared from view.

The code in the 3 custom modules looks OK. And, I have tried uploading the images again, but this made no difference.

I then checked in the media manager and saw that only file name was showing for those 3 png images mentioned, but not the graphic image.

Can someone point me in the right direction to a solution?

Thanks
GWS

Hi GWS,

Check to see if they are still on the server.

Also, what Joomla version are you using? Can we get a link to your page(s)?

Kind regards,
Nick

HI GWS,

What Joomla version are you using?

What folder are you uploading your images to?

Have you checked in FTP if these images exist?

What is the URL that the broken images is trying to go to?
Warm Regards,

Tessa Mero

Hi Guys,

Am using latest version of Joomla 2.56.

As I said, 6 of 3 images that were uploaded are showing and they all went to the same destination on server. And, Yes, all files are still showing on server.

All 6 images were uploaded to a folder I created ...images/logos/

The url of the broken images are:

www.escare.org.au//escare_cms/images/logos/federal.jpg
www.escare.org.au//escare_cms/images/logos/dcp.png
www.escare.org.au//escare_cms/images/logos/communities.png

The images are all visible via these URLs. but unfortunately you wont be able to view as the site is still under development.

Can send login details if one or both of you wish to investigate; that would be awesome.

Regards
GWS

Hi

If the full URL is used to replace the relative URL that Joomla generates, the image does appear in the module. So that's one solution.

The questions still arise;

1. why don't images appear when inserted by the JCE editor as..."images/logos/communities.png"....
2. And, why are only 3 of the 6 images behaving this way in the custom modules?

Regards
GWS

Hi GWS,

I have had this problem. It was caused by the images getting corrupted during upload. Try deleting them and upload again using an FTP client.

Your original copies could be the bad ones if you downloaded them. You might try to redo the originals first.

See if that makes a difference and let us know.

Cheers,
Ed

Hi edandrea

Looks like the original images were corrupted.
Everything working well now. Many thanks for that vital bit of the puzzle.

Kind regards
GWS
