I downloaded JCE in zip form. I extracted the files. But now, I can't figure out how to open it so that it looks like the picture in the video lesson on JCE.

You should not unzip the file before installing.

Thanks for you prompt reply as I want to learn this ASAP. As I said in my question, I extracted all of the files. But now what? No matter which file I click on it can't be opened by Windows. Do I need a php something er other? When I click on com_jec_2021 I see "administrator, components, language, install.php and jce.xml

You should not extract any of the files. Just upload the zipped format as shown in the following lesson:

Hi Nick,

OK, I deleted the download files and did it again. I downloaded the zip file. Then what? It is sitting in the downloads folder. I thought I should double click it to open it. If I do so, it doesn't look like the web page but has folders: "administrator, components, language, install.php and jce.xml I feel so ignorant! But I normally don't have this level of problems.

Hi Susan,

After downloading the file, leave it as it is and go to your administrator. Then go to Extensions (top menu) >> Extension Manager (sub menu) >> upload the file.

OK, I'll try this. Maybe I just didn't watch the video far enough! I stopped it as soon as it said to download the program at about 47 sec. :(
