when i create a menu tab on my website, I am not able to see the menu tab active on the live website. what would be the cause of all this?

the menu item is called "corporate training".
I am using the 1.5.26 joomla version

It looks to be a bug. Please try reinstalling your 1.5.26 core version using the following tutorial:

Hopefully that will fix it! If not, try switching template real quick to see if it's a template issue or something else.

okay fine...what do you suggest i do...remember i upgraded the site yesterday from 1.5.22 to 1.5.26..!!

I did those steps yesterday but i dont see any icon reading "Reinstall"??? which icons do i click on from here?

Click on that message and it will give you an option to reinstall :)

The tutorial also demonstrates where it is. In the tutorial, look at the screenshot right after.

In your case, it will instead say:
Just click on it :)

I have done...I have reinstalled it as guided..when i refresh the site, i still cant see the menu tab...!!!
Can i suggest we do create one article related menu tab together we see if it will have any issues too...since so far, the one i have earlier created is still not working.

if i am creating an article based menu....just to be sure that we are on the same page.....it should be linked up to "article manager" and what else????

If you're creating a menu item of type "Article >> Article Layout" then you would have to link it to a single Article from the "Select Article" parameter within the menu item.

We'd highly recommend going through all our training in this order without skipping around:
1) Beginner Class
2) Intermediate Class

Those classes will give you more than enough information to make the changes that you're wanting to make. In the mean time, here's a concise quick reference (same thing applies to 1.5):

It does affect the look, however I only recommend switching for a few seconds just to check then quickly switching back.

There's no installing needed. It's just a click of a few buttons.
