Using a new install of 2.5 with Rasa Template. Rod installed it and the template for me a few weeks ago. I have subscribed to the 6 month OST and have worked with Joomla! 1.5. I am having real trouble figuring out how to work within this template and the zen grid along with the changes in Joomla! I feel like there is an essential element that I'm "missing" in my understanding. Please help...
Thanks,
Diane

Hi Diboy,

What exactly is the problem you are experiencing trying to display your images using MicroBlog?

Have you tried to create a new module position and giving it a location in your template?
Warm Regards,

Hi Tessa,

I can get the lead photo to display, but not a jpg image of a chart inside the blog text.

Different issue...my template documentation states that there is a favicon option but I cannot seem to find it when I go into the template to modify it. Do I need a separate module? Thanks!!

Hi Di,

Any chance we can get a link to your site so we can see the problem? Getting a jpg to show should be fairly basic, but I don't have enough details to see what's missing.

Are you using the JCE editor to edit your articles?

Cheers,
Ed

Hi Di,

On that page I see a headshot and an empty space with an empty paragraph. Is the headshot the main photo? Where is the chart supposed t show.

Hi Ed,
Chart is supposed to show in the empty space in the paragraph. It shows in the article, but doesn't show on the page....

Hi Di,
I attached a screen shot from firebug. You can see that the blank space doesn't have any image code. This could be getting stripped out when you go to save.

Check the syntax of the code and make sure you don't have any missing quote marks or any mistakes in it.

Check you JCE editor to make sure you don't have any filters turned on. Check out this tutorial and see if it helps.

www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/stop-joom...-stripping-out-code/

Let's start there.

CHeers,
Ed

Hi Ed,

Thanks for the tips. I didn't see your attachment, but I double checked the syntax and it appears to be fine. The url path is correct and all code is in place. My JCE editor has filters off for superuser(which I am). I went through the tutorial but I did not change my default editor in global config to "none" since I'm using the JCE. I trashed my article and created a new one since I wasn't sure if it was created with JCE or the tinymce. One thing I haven't tried (and I'm not sure it would make a difference) is to delete the image and upload it again.

Thoughts on this?

Thanks,
Di

Hi diboy,

Doesn't hurt to try again. I don't see an empty space where an image is suppose to be on your site at the moment so I am assuming you are currently working on this.

Did you get it worked out? :)

Hi Tessa,
I never did get it worked out. Not sure if I have some setting(s) on the microblog module that are incorrect or what...
Thanks,
Di

Hi
Yesterday I spent a couple of hours chasing a problem of an image not loading in an extension. In the end I discovered that the file in the media manager had the extension .JPG and I was typing .jpg into the extension!! I am sure that it is not your problem - but another thing worth ruling out.
Regards
Mark
