I'm trying to change the header on my site. I am using maelstorm template. I was able to change the logo easily, but need to change the header in the back in order to look as the image attached..

Have you had a chance to go through the Joomla template class and the coding classes? They should give you enough knowledge and confidence to make the changes you'd like. Here are the links to the classes:
