Hi,

For SEO reasons I want some pages not indexed and not followed to by Google.
How can I do that in Joomla 1.5?

Hi Maurice,

Go to the respective menu item then in the right side in the "Metadata Options" look for the "Robots" and set that to "No index, No follow". You can also do this at the article level.

Hope this helps! :)

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,

Thanks.
At the article level it worked. In the menu item I could not find this metadata options. I 'm using 1.5. Has that something to do with it?

Hi Maurice,

You're welcome!

For 1.5 menu items, look for "MENU item meta data" then "Robots meta tag".

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,

I cannot find it. And now I'm also going to use a wrapper menu I think I need it (as in this case I believe I cannot put the 'no follow and no index' in the article parameters).
I attached a screenshot. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong spot?

Regards, Maurice

You can find the robots in the meta tag section for each article. If you need more than that, you'll need an extension.

Sorry, Ed's right. I was looking at our backend and we do have an extension for that option.

sh404sef should work perfectly.

Kind regards,
Nick
