I'm extremely frustrated working with html while placing ads.

Attached is an html I was messing with for the store. It is a mess.

Also the store is at this site:

smokymount.com/index.php/shop

Is there an easier way to place ads on a page than fiddling with html every time a new ad is posted, since we want to strategically post it?

Hi Naomi,

You'd have to save the html in a zip file before attaching it to this forum (for security reasons).

As to your question, that depends on how you'd like it. Do you have an example?

By the way, we'd highly recommend going through all our training in this order:
1) Beginner Class
2) Intermediate Class
3) Template Design
4) HTML Class
5) CSS Class
6) PHP Class

Those classes will give you more than enough information to make the changes that you're wanting to make. Also, Firebug is a great tool to help speed up the process. Here's our tutorial on it:

Hope this helps! :)

Kind regards,
Nick

That's all good, but Joomla JCE editor doesn't make it easy. Every time there are more ads to post, the JCE editor adds codes to it, and combines codes so that I have to separate it out each time new ads need to be added

Hi Naomi,

Ah, OK. In that case, go to your JCE's administrator >> Editor Global Configuration >> "Cleanup HTML" >> set it to "No".

Kind regards,
Nick

Naomi,

Have you thought about using a module using html rather than JCE editor? You will have full control of the code.

:-)
Warm Regards,
