Greetings!
I am working on a Joomla 1.5.26 site built years ago, using a custom template: www.enchantmentpetresort.com.

I have been diligent about updating and backing up this site. I have the latest versions of Akeeba Backup and Admin Tools.

The site has three administrators and one super admin (me).

When I click the login button at the bottom of any page and login as me or one of the administrators here are the varying results:
1) sometimes the login is successful and sometimes nothing happens, meaning I'm not logged in.
2) If I am able to log in, the little pencil either does or doesn't show up, in an apparently random way.
3) If I don't log in successfully, but I click on the LOGIN link again and try again, sometimes it works.
4) If the pencil does show up and I click on it, sometimes the editor opens and sometimes it doesn't.

Have you run into this before?

Here are some of the things I've tried:
I recently learned that it's best to use PHP3 with J15 and J25, so I changed the php from 2 to 3.

I used Admin Tools to Fix Permissions, Clean Temp-Directory, Repair & Optimise Tables.

Do you ever get any error messages? Is error reporting set to maximum in your global configuration's server tab?
