I made my updated website Joomla 2.5 on local host. It looked ok to me; got all the photos arranged, etc. But when I loaded it to live server,I had to make a few minor changes for margins, spacing etc (No problem). But several people have accessed the website, and say that on thier PC, all the photos go too large, print is messed up, etc etc. I thought it might be a browser problem I checked the site with Firefox, IE8, Chrome. It all looks good. But others look at the site on their IPad or their own PC and tell me it doesn't look right.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Paul

Thanks for offering to look at the site.

www.thesevenfountains.org

I will ask my friends who found the site distorted to take a capture and I will upload it to you to look at.

Do you want to get into the admin?

Paul

Hi Paulsiam,

I just tested your site on the latest versions of IE, Firefox, and Chrome, and nothing popped out at me as being abnormal or incorrect.

Could you possibly have the users experiencing these issues take a screenshot of what they are seeing?

Thank you, :-)
Warm Regards,

Tessa, thanks for this feedback.

I asked one person to make some copy of what he saw. he said, "See attached pictures.
These happen if I zoom-in (enlarge) the page. For normal size, the problem doesn't appear."

I attach what he sent me too.

Perhaps there is no problem then?

Thanks!
Paul

Hi Paulsiam,

You can fix this issue by going to your main template.css file and inputting this code:
.items-leading p img {height:100%;width:100%;}

You can resize your browser as large as you want and the image won't overlap your other divs.
Warm Regards,

Tessa
Thanks for this great help.
But,
when I go to my template, where do I put this code in? Anywhere? With any prefixes or suffixes, or just add it to the top line??

When I go to Template Manager, Templates, I see my template: it is called Seven4, and it is starred as default. When I click on the name, I go to "Customize Template" and see these possibilities to choose from (attached). Do I click "Edit css/template.css" ?? And if so, when it opens, where do I put the code you sent?

Many thanks! Great help.
Paul.

Hi Paul,

Go to the css/template.css file.

Add it anywhere, preferably the top so you can remember how to find it. :-)

Maybe make a comment above that code saying:

/* Paul added this on 6-15-2012 */

.items-leading p img {
height:100%;width:100%;
}
/* End of new code */

Well, that is my format for adding CSS to already written code. :)
Warm Regards,

Thanks again, Tessa
I attach what I did inside the css template

BUT

when I look at the home page now, if I use Firefox and increase the view four or five times (as my friend did when he sent the message), the homepage picture still goes way out into the menus. (Actually I dont know why anyone would want it that v\big view...but just curious if I did something wrong in the coding??)
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

Try clearing your firefox browser cache as well as your Joomla cache.
