I need to install a "fresh" install of Joomla to follow the Intermediate class
and set up a business site. I am not sure what that means and can't remember
how I did it.

Thanks

Brian

Hi Brian,

Where do you want to install this? We have several tutorials and the instructions are also in the online videos.

Tell us where you want to put it and we'll point you to the correct directions.

Cheers,
Ed

HI Brian,

You're talking about a remote commrcial server? If so you probably have a server control panel with a file manager. Go to the file manager and navigate to the zipped file on your server.

There will be a command on the file manager that says something like unzip, uncompress, expand (I always thought it should say blow-up in big letters :)

Then you'our done. Create a data base, Go to your URL and follow the installation prompts.

If by your server you mean your local computer, just use an unzip utility like winzip or in windows you can choose the file, right click, and choose "Extract".

does that answer your question?

Cheers,
Ed

Hello Brian, all you need to do is download the Joomla 2.5 file, extract it, and put the folder on your server.

To access your new (front end) Joomla site, type yourservername/JoomlaFolderName

And you are there.

Is there a step you are not quite sure about?
Warm Regards,

Tessa Mero
