When using the email icon located in the upper right corner of the article to email a link of the article, I receive the following error:

Fatal error: Class 'JView' not found in /home/content/89/7282289/html/eptest3/components/com_mailto/views/sent/view.html.php on line 11

Any suggestions or ideas as to what is causing this error and how to correct it?

Hi Arthur,

This is an known issue that has hopefully been fixed. This was just recently so you maybe able to fix it by upgrading your install.

Try using Akeeba Admin tools to reinstall Joomla
www.akeebabackup.com/downloads/admin-tools.html

The good news is that the mail is being sent. This message is telling you that the confirmation page just isn't being retrieved.

See if a reinstall will fix it and let us know.

Good find, Ed!

Unfortunately, although that was fixed, it won't be applied until the next release of 2.5.7 so updating right now won't fix it.

What you need to do is make sure you're running 2.5.6 then edit the following file (make a backup of it first) :
components/com_mailto/views/sent/view.html.php

and changed line 11:
to:
