I had a somewhat successful 1.5.x migration to 2.5.x using JUpgrade (?) but found that one Section (with two categories) from the old site didn't move well. Since the new Joomla doesn't have Sections, I suspect that is a source of the problem. Unfortunately this one Section has lots of articles.

Old Section published as two category list pages:
http://artists-bill-of-rights.org/competition-lists/rights-on-list/
adn
http://artists-bill-of-rights.org/competition-lists/rights-off-list/

Corresponding pages in new site needing help:
http://abor17.artsouthend.com/jupgrade/index.php/lists/rights-on-list
and
http://abor17.artsouthend.com/jupgrade/index.php/lists/rights-off-list

In the SEO settings on the new site, SEF URLs: Yes; Use URL rewriting: No. Switching SEF URLs to "No" makes no difference.

How do I begin to sort this out and correct it?

Thanks.

Hi allfive,

It's not an issue with sections, since for sections jUpgrade just makes them parent categories.

What specific version of 2.5 are you using? 2.5.what?

Try going to the menu that the menu items are in and "rebuilding" the menu items (top right). If that doesn't help, go into those menu items and double check your settings.

Kind regards,
Nick

Nick, I"m using 2.5.4.

Rebuilding the menus didn't work, but I found that by inspecting the menu items, as you indicated, that the Categories for the rogue items were incorrectly assigned. After correcting those, everything AOK.

Now to sort thru all those possible settings! Do you have a page related to that? <G>

Thanks very much. One major headache out of the way.
