Has anyone used these two components (Community Builder or Jomsocial)? If so, I would love to hear recommendations. I manage my high school's alumni website and it is/has gotten so big, it's becoming very difficult to manage the way I've been doing it (with NetObjectsFusion).

Do you have video tutorials for either of these components?

Yes, I've used both and both are excellent extensions packed with great features. The key is outlining what features you'd like and compare those features to the extensions to see which of the two will best meet your needs.

We don't have video tutorials for either, however we do have a whole mini-course with screenshots/text just on Jomsocial :) Here's the direct link to it:

I'm using a commercial Joomla 2.5 template and installed Community Builder but when I click through to "register" after installing CB, I get the following error message: No input file specified at www.art-n-around.com/index.php/component/comprofiler/registers; I also get this error when I try to check on an event that I've created at: www.art-n-around.com/index.php/component...ent&id=1&Itemid=9999.

My qualifications definitely put me in the Joomla kiddie pool although, I've been using 1.5 for a friend's site for some time.

Was the CB tutorial ever published?
