TOPIC: Categories on multi-lingual site with K2

Categories on multi-lingual site with K2 9 months 1 week ago #53471

I have recently upgraded my website from J1.5 to 2.5.6 (with JUpgrade).

I would like to build a new "architecture" but keeping the content (like 500 articles). This include reorganize the actual content with new categories.

For the new site i would like to implement K2 and Multilingual (using the core system of Joomla).
The question is... Should I start building the category system direct on K2? or first in Joomla (because i need to build the cat. tree for each language) and the use the import feature of K2? Does the multi-lingual system supports K2?

(I already watched the videos of J2.5 for K2 and Multi lingual site.)
Thanks!

Hi and welcome, tadeolopez!

1) First in Joomla, then import into K2.

2) Yes, the two should work well together.

Also, for the actual component, there are translations available:

Kind regards,
Nick
