I am building a site and my client wants a wya for registered users to be able to print off barcodes for scanning from the webpage. For example, a client registers on the site and now has a variety of products they need to create "tags" for, they need to be able to printa a "tag" for their item that my client can scan and check in when they arrive at an event. Is this possible, is there a suggested extension for this task?

So are you trying to create a directory of products with bar codes attached to each one?

SobiPro is an extension that has that capability.

It is a clothing consignment site, my client holds monthly consignment sales across the area, all at diffrent locations (arenas, civic centers, etc...) The registered users are people who have signed up for a booth, they need to be able to register there individul products on the site and print scannable barcodes from the site that coincide with the product, so they can then bring the products to the event and be able to sell them. My clent needs to know what type of product the individual is bringing and how many items they are bringing. Does that make sense?

The products won't be sold online, only at the events. So i'm thinking I'll create a register page for all booth sales people. Then create a Catergory for each type of product they are allowed to sell (jeans,tops,baby clothes..etc) I'd like the registered user to be able to Sign In, choose the type of product they are selling, then print an individual "tag" for their item or product to bring to the event.

Your best bet would be to use DT Register or another event registration component. Here's a link to DT Register:

You can set up different events and then have custom fields for the products or vice versa. DT Register also has confirmation numbers with bar code support as well :)

Could you have a look at its features and demo and see if that's something that you feel that you could use for this project?
