Hi Hotbullet,

I'm not sure if what you are asking exists for Joomla 2.5, however, I did run across this extension:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/news-di...s/articles-toc/11573

Let me know if this is something similar to what you are looking for. If not, can you find a page that has an example of what you are talking about?

Thanks. :-)
Warm Regards,

Tessa Mero

Hello Hotbullet,

There is no extension similar to this and it has been requested by dozens of others that there needs to be something similar to this available for later versions of Joomla. (Or even an updated version of DropDown TOC, which the developers have not made plans to update).

Honestly I don't understand why there isn't one available now. I understand the importance of needing this functionality on your website! :-)

It doesn't hurt to get another opinion once again though. Without an extension, having this functionality will require intense custom coding and not just a simple tutorial unfortunately. :-)
Warm Regards,

Hi hotbullet,

Could you clarify some more what you're trying to do? Are you wanting a tab extension similar to the following one?
www.nonumber.nl/extensions/tabber

Could you upload a screenshot of the feature that you like on the other website?

Kind regards,
Nick

Hello Hotbullet,

The last two images are the same, I think you meant to add a different image for your last one. :-)

Hi
Have you thought of using a "form" element; either a module form builder or maybe a custom html module along these lines www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_select2
Sorry but I do not have more time at the moment to research this, got to go out!
Regards
Mark

Hi Hotbullet,

Have you read the article Mark provided? Showing you in depth how to write some coding will be beyond our support scope, however, there are developers you could hire to write this for you. If you want the drop down menus to dynamically update after creating articles, it might be a little more complicated than a script of code.

Otherwise if you want to manually update an article dropdown box as a temporary solution, I'd be happy to write the code for you, which is much simpler to do and wouldn't require hours of coding.

Let me know.
Warm Regards,

Tessa Mero

Hi
I have played around with the drop down menu idea. The trouble is that it really just breaks up the idea of an article into several smaller articles, you just loose the sense that you are reading a single article and so for me it just does not work.
The second of the images that you posted where you say "I could live with this" looks almost exactly like the joomla default settings of using "page breaks" within the article. You get the small top menu plus the also have the "next" and "prev" menu items at the bottom of the page. From the users perspective it is hard to improve on this system.
Regards
Mark
