There is an extension such as this:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structu...-categorization/6926

This extension will allow you to attach articles to more than one category.

Is this what you are looking for? As for core of Joomla, I don't think there is a way, unless you want to make a parent category to fit the multiple categories you want to attach it to. :-)
