I've been developing sites using Joomla, Drupal and Wordpres for the last 15 years. I'm looking forward to some discussions.

Helping people makes me sharper and working with beginners is a great way to get insight into the strengths and weaknesses of a program. I hope I can help some people and learn a lot in the process.

Hi Edandrea,

Welcome to Open Source Training! We're glad to have you here! :)

Sure, it's an open forum to encourage discussion so feel free to answer as many topics as you want. Also, if it goes well, and if it's OK with you, we could add you to this list:
www.ostraining.com/joomla-developers/

A quick question, did you have a typo in the first paragraph for 15 years?

Kind regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,

I'm not a coder - but I figure stuff out. I hope I can help, too. And thanks for the welcome.

PS. I have a sense of humor. I don't mind the mispelling comment. I misspell wurds allthe time.

They haven't: I think Ed meant "developing sites using things like ..." :)

Ten years for Joomla (in one form or another) and also for Drupal. About 6 for WordPress.
Ask. We'll help. It's as simple as that.

Thank you , Steve. I just found Joomla and Drupal in the last 6 months the long roundabout way asking the question how are people designing these sites. The live classes I've taken locally are in CSS and Dreamweaver and only a few people manage to grasp and implement the two and create something that works. I was slow on the uptake but created and maintain a couple of sites.
After asking and researching I come to find CMS has been around for nearly a decade. Better late than never :-)
Learning it online is better for me than meeting in a class once or twice a week.
