If a user has been assigned a particular role. How does one, give that user access to a particular page after he/she has logged in. I would like to assure that other users of the system who don't have that role CANNOT access this page, even via the URL.

I'm using Drupal 7. I've been experimenting with Organic Groups but if "simple" roles would do the trick so much the better. I will look into this. I'm trying to hide database data from Website users not authorized to view it. This includes direct access of pages via a URL.
