Steve, I had this fear of installing MAMP, but your tutorials helped me get over it and MAMP's been installed almost one week now!

Do I need to change my "root" and "root" passwords?

It's ONLY ME using MAMP on my computer for training and testing Joomla only. I've got a webhost with fresh install of Joomla waiting for me to use one day after training.

And... when I'm using Dreamweaver on my computer to upload pages or changes to my live static website, CAN SOMEONE ACCESS MY COMPUTER IF MY MAMP SERVER'S RUNNING?

So thankful to have experts here to answer my "elementary" questions!
