Any time I try to make a global configuration change (ie...Make JCE my primary WYSIWYG content editor, but issue is not limited to this module only) my whole Joomla system crashes and says it cannot connect to the MySQL database....

ERROR:Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL (on blank white screen is all I get for preview and admin login)

I have tried restoring my database from the nightly GoDaddy backup...but it does not change.

The only thing I have been able to do so far is completely uninstall Joomla and reinstall back onto my server space. I am on my third round.

What am I missing?
