I have received 2 very worrisome emails since starting my Joomla website; types of emails I have NEVER received before. Certainly, they could be unrelated to my new Joomla site but regardless I need to try to resolve my concern.

At the 'beginnger' Joomla Training session, TJ talked about security measures, and the importance of keeping modules updated. Presumably, the modules I'm installed within the last couple of week are relatively current and have not created a security lapse. I have published the webmaster's email address, the office's address along with user's email address on the site in a directory.

I have an e-commerce website which has been live for nearly 3 years which also have email addresses listed. I rarely receive unsolicited spam from my ecommerce site and never like what I just received.

I need some advise to overcome my concerns about the site security and before setting-up registered users to do 'my part' to help avoid our users of being contacted with inappropriate email solicitations.
