| Ajax Parse Error - JoomlaPack |
|
UPDATE 3: Finally! The problem was JoomlaPack 2.3. Once I reverted back to 2.2.1 & KickStart 2.2, the install was easy. Everthing duplicated other than I'm getting an error message 404 - Component not Found error on all internal page links. Help...! ===================================== UPDATE 2: I have successfully installed the template I'm using to server. Is it possible to import the site files I've done on my computer into the server rather than using JoomlaPack install? ===================================== UPDATE: I decided to start 'clean' to try to determine the problem. I deleted the folder contents on server. I installed Joomla 1.5.4 (new version, previous was 1.5.8) on the server following your "How to Install Joomla" video. Worked perfect, very helpful - thank you! The install answered my questions about server compatibilty/database with Joomla and that the issue is likely to be JoomlaPack. So now, how would you advise me to move my site from localhost to server? Thanks, MCH ===================================== Running JoomlaPack 2.3, I made it through Step 11, How to Move Site to Live but got an Ajax parse error (file attached). I'm trying to upload to a temp file folder for testing [www.mysite.com/text] Restoration progress error AJAX error: parsererror(undefined) Raw Data: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /usr/home/web/users/a0020367/html/test/installation/includes/db.php on line 334 I found a post on JoomlaPack indicating a bug in 2.3, uploaded 2.3.1. Reinstalled JoomlaPack. Recreated backup file (** see note). Deleted all the files in the folder on the server [www.mysite.com/test]. Using KickStart 2.3, JoomlaPack 2.3.1, same error. The database file had previously been in use. I deleted all the tables. Does it need to be 'formatted'? ** This is interesting, maybe. I get an 'default backup folder is in use' error message in JoomlaPack, both 2.3 & 2.3.1. To resolve, in 2.3 I designated backup path to user 'documents' file folder. I left 2.3.1 as default. The 2.3 JoomlaPack jpa file was 120MB. The 2.3.1 JoomlaPack jpg file was 60MB??? Any suggestions? |
