How do you properly back up a site. I would think that it is the same if I want to just back it up in case it gets hacked or corrupt or if I want to move the site entirely.
Is that true?

I can see perhaps, using FTP directly to move the whole directory structure but how do you move the database?..
I am looking for a step by step guide since this is new to me.
