What is the best way to secure a joomla site. I see several extensions but don't know what to choose, if that is even the way to do it.
So should an extension be used? If so, what?

Or is there another way within the code or admin panel to secure it? If so, how?

Also, it looks like the admin access to the backend is by typing the subdirectory name, "administrator" after the site name, can that directory be renamed to anything we want.. as long as we change some other code too?..
it would seem that our sites could be more secure if we had control of the entry point to the administrator directory..?
just a thought, but I don't know for sure.
