I have a requirement to have a registration number generated for each user that joins my service site for tracking purposes. For example, a user signs-up for my service and registers on the site, I need to have a registration number assigned to them at time. Alternatively, a user maybe signing up for their group. In this scenario, I would like to have them enter the names of the group members into a form, press the submit button, and a group number and a number for each individual in the group is generated.

I've looked at an extension called "User Loader" that allows you to load multiple users into Joomla via an Excel CSV file. However, it won't assign the registration number(s), therefore, I'd have to do it via a backend manual process. I've also investigated some of the subscription extensions to see if there is something that could be used, but still researching.

I would appreciate any ideas that anyone may have regarding how to accomplish this automatically via the website when the user registers versus doing it manually on the backend. If anyone knows of an extension that can provide this type of functionality, please let me know. Your help and ideas are greatly appreciated.
