I just moved another site to a new host that has a drupal site within a folder of the main site.

I used simplescripts to install drupal on a new site on the same host and noticed that simplescripts will automatically update drupal.

Is it worth reinstalling drupal thru simple scripts, if it's possible without losing much, in that current site folder?

Does simplescripts really manage updates that well?
