Wow do I have a basic question! By the way, Rod's tutorials are excellent.

I used MAMP to install Joomla 1.5.20 on my Mac and now have a demo database on my computer. It was accompanied by loud applause and was thrilling for me.

When the sample Joomla page came up I did a bookmark of it to make sure I would see it again and closed out the page.

When I tried to bring it up again using the bookmarked address -- got an error message. First of all the error message said this: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:8888

I went to Sites and named the database Stonetrace. The path is Sites>Stonetrace> Joomla_1.5.20-Stable-Full_Package> then all the files and sub files of Joomla 1.5.

How do I bring up the working Joomla page I just loaded? I went to the Session 9 tutorial where Rod tells us to bring up the administrator form by calling up "your website.com, backslash. administrator. Did I miss something in the process? I thought I could work on a site within my MacBook without outside hosting. What file name brings up the working Joomla page I just installed. I tried several things of which none were successful. I'm totally embarrassed to ask this.
