Joomla Contact Us Form email error on Localhost

Hi

I am using the contact us form but get the following message after I press send:

PHPMAILER_EXECUTE/usr/sbin/sendmail
The email doesn't send.

My website currently resides in localhost using XAMPP.

Any help here would be appreciated.
