Hi Steve,
I am preparing to take my site live (finally after a few months of delay) but wanted to backup first. I currently have my site set up within a folder on the server of the old website. I used Akeeba and kickstart to get it there (with your help).
When I went to use akeeba to back up I got the following: "output directory unwritable" and "Temporary directory unwritable". After a little investigating I noticed that the backup directory was pointed to where the site originally was created in a Localhost environment. I went in a set to :/public_html/NEW/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup.
I still got the same message. Could this be because I have the site inside a folder? I want to try and get a complete backup before I once and for all try and swap the old site with the new.
Hope this made sense.
thanks much
Akeeba Backup Touble
