Ok here's what I have done...

my friend created a bunch of Joomla screens for me and sent them to me via Zip....so I ...

1. I put the Zip file in a folder on my laptop called JoomlaZip.
2. Then I upzipped the files to another folder called JoomlaUnzip.
3. I remote logged into my server, and made a folder on the desktop called Joomlainstall
4. I copied and pasted the unzipped information there.
5. Next, I went into: C/XAMPP/www and replaced all those folders with the new ones….

Then I opened Windows Explorer and went to:http://www.localhost/administrator

….and received the following error…

Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to database

I made sure the installation directory was deleted…I will check the Joomla message boards and see if I can figure it out meanwhile…

Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this?



How do I update a new database...?
