Currency Text Box using Joomla Form

I need to make a form with a text box that can only have currency (no dollar sign either) so I can pass the amount to a shopping cart system.

What is the best way to do that? I am not using any forms extensions right now, don't know any to use, don't know if Joomla has one already?
