I'm almost finished my second Joomla website. I have a menu items issue.

Here's my problem. I have a menu item called Events and five sub menu items. The sub menu items all call up articles into the main content area.

But when I click on the parent item, Events, a list of the sub menu items appears in the component. The list seems unnecessary when they're already listed in the main menu module.

How can I turn the redundant Events list off? if you need to look at it.
