Hi Steve,

After much learning and work in creating the site, I am on the verge of taking it live. Problem is I have no clue how to do this. Here are the particulars:
1) This joomla site will replace an existing site
2) I need to switch my account with my web host to a new server that can support joomla
3) ideally I would love to try and get the joomla site up on a temporary URL (if that is even a a thing you can do) to make sure it works before I point the domain to the new site.

While it has been fun building the site I am very uncertain about this next step. It's one thing to play around on my computer (local host) but another thing to go live with a site that belongs to a group.

Help?
