I changed to jos_ as a security measure and the site is up and running fine, on intial install of joomla i did backup tables and then put in a new prefix say from jos_ to abc_ but i cannot change the column at the frontage(in joomla admin) say from 2 columns of articles to one. As well as # of leading intro or columns.

i was wondering is the prefix may be the cause

Oh i have the original joomla purity template and content, and all the joomla template is the same, i will be eventually be using the bold template, i was wondering the changes i would need to make to keep the different prefix and make it work.
