Internet Explorer problem with Images, Search Engine Friendly URLS

I've got two issues on the same page here.

In Explorer, can you tell me how to fix the "x" box next to my search box?

I think It needs more room but I have tried to shrink the box itself and changed the title "search" on the right to "go" thinking if it was smaller it would fit, but no good. It is fine in firefox, just not Explorer. On another computer the x's showed up next to images too.

Also, for the Jbulletin on the right, in firefox it shows up nice and aligned, and in Explorer it shows up with the images at the top and the text way too low.

I just turned on SEF url's yesterday, but I don't think that would affect anything.
