Joomla Updater not working - click here to update joomla

I Am using Joomla Updater version 1.3.2. I currently have Joomla version 1.5.14 installed.

I access the component and i get a message stating that Joomla has been updated, but it still shows 1.5.14 and the Updater still blinks in the control panel "click here to update joomla"

Any ideas on how to fix?
