| help with search issue |
I built a website for a dance studio using drupal gardens. Here's the issue. The name of the studio is "Revive Dance Xchange" with no 'e' at the beginning of the word Xchange. We purchased 2 domain names: primary domain name is www.revivedancexchange.com (with no e again) and a secondary domain www.revivedanceexchange.com (with the additional e). Secondary is forwarding to primary. When users search in Google for "Revive Dance Xchange" (no e) we show up first in search results. However, if someone googles Revive Dance Exchange with the e, we are no where to be found. (Oddly though if you search for Revive Dance Exchange Beverly, MA, we show up early in search results). In addition, the studio owner uses a service called Local Edge to maximize Google search results for other things like if someone searches for "dance studio Beverly, MA". My assumption is that a significant portion of potential clients may conduct the search with the 'e' since it's the grammatically correct version of the word. So, where to I begin to address this issue? With our host Godaddy? With the website itself? Or with the service provider Local Edge? This is an entirely new problem for me so I don't have a clue where to start. Thanks, Erica |
