This tutorial which will show you how to create a business directory or Yellow Pages on your Joomla site. We're going to use a component called Sobi2, which is available from www.sigsiu.net.Installing Sobi2
Configuring Sobi2 With Your Site DetailsThe first thing we'll do is put our own website's information into Sobi2:
Creating Business CategoriesNext, we'll set up the categories we're going to use for the businesses:
Choosing Business DetailsDepending on where and what kind of business listings you have, you'll need to collect different kinds of details. U.K. and Canadian sites might be happy with collecting "Post Code" but U.S. sites will need to change that to "Zip Code".
Collecting PaymentYes, we did mention that you can have paid listings. That service is free with Sobi2. Once you've set up your fields using the above steps, you can enter your payment information:

Unfortunately we never did a part two. This was published in January of 2010 which was quite a while ago so I'm not sure why there wasn't a part two. What may have happened is that we created the tutorial for a student and we never heard back from the student so we didn't create a part two. That sometimes happens. If you're a student at OSTraining, you can request a part two within the support forum and we'll create one for you :)
Kind regards,
Nick
please help me out, or is there somewhere i can pay through 2checkout?
is really important
Sorry, but I don't think they have a plugin for 2checkout. See: www.sigsiu.net/.../10
However it's worth asking the developers to be certain: www.sigsiu.net/contact/
Good luck!
Kind regards,
Nick
