Thank you,
Vicki
You may need to ask your hosting company to raise this limit.
Be sure to check out our other tutorials as well! :-)
Kind regards,
Nick
All Videos is a great option for playing mp3s from your own site. Other 3rd party solutions have their pros and cons as well.
Kind regards,
Nick
can i play mp3 from third parties, not in my hosting/site admin ?
is it possible to NOT show the download link and the embed code
thanx
If you click on the plugin in plugin manager, that will give you a list of options that you can configure such as allowing downloads, etc.
Kind regards,
Nick
could u help
Are you able to access global configuration? If not, then you need to use a super administrator account.

Nick
Next, I went into HTML and typed a code for the location of the file, but only the code appeared on my web page.
Any ideas what I missed? It would be greatly appreciated.

I'm glad you got it to work! :)
Kind regards,
Nick
Make sure you clear your browser's and site's cache and you should see the changes.

Nick
Pl, tell me how to play a sound on mouse over a menu or hyperlink.
Thanks.

I followed all the steps. I see the player on my website, but when I click on it nothing happens. When I go into the backend of my website I see the file and I can play it from there, which means the file is completely uploaded. Any ideas what I can check? I am working on a Mac, might that be a problem with certain browser settings?
I would start by trying it in a different browser to see if it's a browser compatibility issue. Also, could you provide the link to take a quick look or did you mean it's on a localhost on your Mac?
Kind regards,
Nick
Sorry for the late reply. I entered the file back on the home page it is on www.kenpo4u.nl
Still when I click on play nothing happens. Now testing in Safari.
Hope you can help.

Mich

I'm helping run a site with a friend and I want to add audio to the site so music will play when people go to a page. Im not very tec minded but the site does have ALLVIDEO already on it (thankfully)as I found when following your instructions. Now I have uploaded the mp3 to see what happens and I think it is on there but where you have a musical note in your example above I have a blue circle with an ! inside of it.When I hover over it it does give the details of the upload. Im trying so hard to be able to do stuff on the site without having to ask I wanted to check if it worked but can't find ARTICLE MANAGER anywhere at the back. I'm down as a SUPER ADMINISTRATOR for the site. I wondered if you could help me I so want to get audio on the site myself. Feel worthless with my contributions as she tends to be more experimental than me and often can figure stuff out. Its Joomla 1.8 by the way. I hope you can help Nick many thanks.
I can help but seems to be more personalized and so I'll ask that you become a student first and then you can post on our support forum and I'll get it answered the same day :) Here's how to sign up:

There was a 1.0 version of AllVideos so hopefully that's what you have :) As for adding, the mp3 tags you do that within the article after you've uploaded the mp3 the audio folder. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Kind regards,
Nick
Thanks
