This tutorial will show you how to add a contact form to the front of your Joomla site. This will allow people to contact you easily and quickly without having to navigate through to a dedicated "Contact Us" page.

  • Step 1: Click here to download the Rapid Contact module. Login to the Administrator area of your Joomla site.
  • Step 2: Go to the Administrator area of your Joomla site and click on Extensions >> Install / Uninstall
  • Step 3: Upload the Rapid Contact module.
  • Step 4: Go to Extensions >> Module Manager then find and open the Rapid Contact module.
  • Step 5: On the right-hand side, under "Module Parameters" enter all the details you'd like to use on the contact form. Click "Apply" and check the contact form on the front of your site.

A note of caution: contact forms are susceptible to spam. If you find yourself receiveing spam emails from this form, go to "Module Parameters" and right at the bottom you will be select and enable a spam-blocking question.

Hi,
I am busy making a translated version of my existing website. I am accounting the following problem:

My first problem was that I was unable to make the top menu appear. I have now solved this problem but the top menu only shows on the front page. Once I click on one of the tabs taking me to an article the top menu disappear.

To view it visit www.semesterhusisydafrika.se , click on beskrivning or Pringle Bay – then you will see that the top menu disappears.

How do I make the top menu visible on all pages? I do not have this problem with my original site www.daydreams.co.za using a slightly older version of Joomla. I have compared all settings and they seem to be the same both on the menu and articles.

Hoping for a swift reply!

Catarina

Hi Catarina,

If you're a student at OSTraining, you can ask support questions at our support forum:
http://www.ostraining.com/forum/

These comment sections at the bottom of tutorials are for, well, commenting on the tutorials. It's very difficult for us to keep track of support issues on here and so the forum is really the ideal place for it and we answer questions very quickly on the forum :-)

Luckily for you though I just happened to see your comment here. To get the top menu to appear on all pages, you need to go to your menu module in module manager and make sure that it is assigned to all menu items (in the bottom left of the page).

Kind regards,
Nick
