  • Part 2: WordPress as a Content Management System. We'll add use features to WordPress' features to move beyond blogging and create great-looking traditional websites for organizations.
  • Part 3: WordPress as a Social Network. We'll show you how to create fully-featured community site by adding user profiles, social networking and discussion forums by leveraging BuddyPress and bbPress.
  • Part 4: WordPress for multiple users and discussions. We'll take you through the world of Worpress MU and the key features that will become part of WordPress 3.0.
  • Part 5: Understanding plugins and using advanced WordPress plugins. We'll explain each of the different kinds of WordPress plugins using several different examples and show you how to modify plugin code.
  • Part 6: Understanding and modifying WordPress themes. We'll use a basic WordPress template to show you how WordPress design works. We'll edit the theme's design, showing you how to manage the layout, plus colors, fonts and images.

Pre-Requisites

To get the most out of this class, you'll need a good basic knowledge of WordPress. Do you know the difference between a page and a post? Do you know how to manage widgets and install plugins?
